INSPIRED BY HISTORY

In 1944 the British Ministry of Defence commissioned 12 companies to produce a new field watch for their troops. It had to have a black background, Arabic numerals, and hacking and hand-winding functions. These watches with their small seconds sub-dial became known as the ‘Dirty Dozen’.

ENGINEERED FOR LONGEVITY

Viton™️ rubber gasket on the case back for reduced wear due to sweat and other chemicals, making the Aoraki more reliable in the long run.

An internal Faraday cage – a soft-metal surround – protects the movement from interfering magnetic fields of up to  20,000 A/m.

ASSEMBLED IN NEW ZEALAND

The Aoraki is our first watch to be fully assembled in New Zealand. We thus named it after Aoraki (Mt Cook), the highest peak in New Zealand.
